Terms of Use
ApplyMate is run by Vanshika Maurya, a solo founder based in Haryana, India (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using ApplyMate, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What ApplyMate is
ApplyMate is a planning tool for students applying to colleges in India, the US and the UK. It lets you browse colleges, build a shortlist, track deadlines and get AI-generated feedback on essays.
Who can use it
You must be able to enter into these terms under Indian law. If you are under 18, you may use ApplyMate only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for your use.
Your account
Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
Information may be wrong: check official sources
College information. Deadlines, requirements and links on ApplyMate are collected from official college websites, but they change often and we may make mistakes. Entries marked “Unverified” have not yet been checked. Always confirm every date and requirement on the college's official website before you apply. We are not responsible for missed deadlines or rejected applications.
AI feedback. Essay feedback is generated by AI. It can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for a particular college. It is a suggestion, not professional advice and not an admissions decision. We do not guarantee any admission, score or outcome.
ApplyMate is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any college or university.
Your essays and content
Your essays and profile information stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them, and to send essay text to our AI provider, only so we can provide the service to you. Only submit essays you have written yourself, and do not submit content that is unlawful or that infringes anyone else's rights. You are responsible for the final text you send to any college.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- try to break, overload, or get around the limits of the service, including the daily limit on AI feedback;
- access another person's account or data;
- use ApplyMate to cheat, to submit work that is not your own, or to break a college's application rules;
- use the service for anything unlawful.
Free and paid plans
Some features are free. Paid plans, when offered, are described at checkout with their price and what they include. Payments are processed by our payment provider. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy. Free plans may have limits, and we may change plans and prices for future purchases.
Availability and changes
We run ApplyMate as a small project and may change, pause or stop features at any time. We try to keep it working, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free.
Ending your account
You can stop using ApplyMate at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, ApplyMate is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss that comes from relying on information or AI feedback on the service. Our total responsibility for any claim will not be more than the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Haryana, India, will have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Using ApplyMate after that means you accept the new terms.
